The Hokianga

That oily flat water on an amble tide, slowly washing through the mangrove flowing deep into the pores of Northland. Time’s a slow mover up there, with little rush for change. Hokianga is special. Kiwi special. It’s changeless, with multiple waves of human history continuing their endless ebb and flow through those warm shallow waters…
